About

Join the School of Art & Design for the opening reception of Sacred Memory, a solo Senior Capstone Exhibition by Marissa Mynes exploring multi-generational family stories, Appalachian heritage, and the influence of close family values.

Bridging printmaking, quilting, and sculpture, the artist uses traditional and contemporary techniques alongside personal materials, including dirt from a great-grandmother's property, inherited fabric scraps, family photos, and a cast of her grandfather’s hands.

Experience these personal yet resonant works that honor the people, places, and stories shaping who we become.
