About
Tuesday November 10th, All day at the Phi Kappa Tau House
Donation boxes will be set up at both entrances of the house for people to donate canned food or make a monetary donation via a venmo link which will be posted on the boxes and our social media.
Wednesday, Nov 11 — Hoops for Hoodies, 2pm-7pm at the Phi Kappa Tau House
Players and teams: $20 to the Phi Kappa Tau Philanthropy Venmo + clothes to register. Spectators get in free with a donation. Half court fits 3-on-3; games to 11 in a simple bracket. Drop-off table by the court so donations stay visible all day. Top donor gets a higher seed. Money donations also excepted. For the allocation of the pooled money the winner will receive 20%, SeriousFun Children's Network (Our national philanthropy) will receive 40%, and the rest could be donated to one of the charities selected by Phi Kappa Tau or could be donated to a charity of the winners choice. (This allows non members to play for their own reasons and give a reason to play for more). Piney's will be provided to the teams to differentiate the teams. Any clothes can be donated from socks to jackets as long as they are in decent condition.
Thursday, Nov 12- The Bald and The Bold, 11am-5pm at the Phi Kappa Tau House
The Bald and The Bold will be a gathering of all Phi Kappa Tau members and guests at the Phi Kappa Tau house for head shaving and a silent auction. A selection of brothers will be selected to volunteer to shave their heads based on bids. Each person will be auctioned to shave their heads OR if they allow it a wacky hairstyle of the bidders choice. An auction will also take place for sports apparel that will be provided by the Ole Miss Athletics Department. All proceeds from this day will go to "En Pointe for Ava". Ava developed a rare form of brain cancer at 13 years old and passed away not long after. Ava had a love for being a ballerina, hence the name "En Pointe for Ava". Ava's father Kevin is a good friend of our house dad Duane and is a police officer and veteran. Cash donations will be permitted.
