About
Join the UB Votes Committee and the Philosophy, Politics, & Economics Program for After the Ballots: Agreeable-Disagreement on Thursday, November 12, from 6–8 p.m. in the Student Union Theater.
The evening begins with “Making Sense of the 2026 Midterm Elections,” a post-election panel featuring Geoff Kelly of Investigative Post and UB’s Dr. Conor Dowling and Valeryn Shepherd. Together, they’ll discuss the election results and what comes next.
Next, “Should New Yorkers Be Able to Bypass Albany?” brings together Maresa Strano of New America and Joshua Dyck of UMass Lowell’s Center for Public Opinion for a friendly debate about ballot initiatives, citizen power, and representative democracy.
Stay afterward for a reception with light refreshments and conversation.
This event is free and open to the public.
