About
Save Time and Get Credit with ORCID Getting and using your free ORCID iD and ORCID record can help you save time and get credit for your work in funding, publishing, and research reporting workflows. Funding organizations, publishers, and research institutions are increasingly requiring or asking for ORCID iDs from researchers. This workshop will help you make sure you are ahead of the game.
In this workshop, ORCID program specialists will cover:
• An overview of the benefits of ORCID for researchers
• How ORCID can help you save time throughout the research landscape
• Funding including federal requirements and SciENcv
• New work types for Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences
• Tips and tricks for keeping your ORCID record up to date
Workshop
Following the webinar, UM staff will offer an office hours style workshop to support researchers, faculty, staff, and students interested in setting up and/or optimizing their ORCID iDs. For faculty and researchers with UM Impact profiles, staff will provide guidance on how to connect ORCID iDs to UM Impact, allowing a seamless push and pull of publication data between the two platforms.
This webinar and workshop are open to the campus community.
