The Diverse Voices Author Series is pleased to present author Leila Renee, who will talk with Dr. Chelda Smith Kondo (St. Thomas Associate Professor of Education) about her new novel, Soft Spots. Soft Spots is a darkly comedic coming-of-age novel that follows a recent college graduate after she flees her abusive family, only to land a seedy job and become obsessed with her new roommate. It explores themes of family, estrangement, friendship, and reconciliation.

Copies of the novel will be sold by Next Chapter Booksellers and autographs will be available at the end of the event.
