About

Looking for an unbelievable summer experience? Apply to join the Center for Civic Engagement for a conservation- and sustainability-focused Alternative Break Maymester! The program runs from May 10, 2027 - June 3, 2027.

This transformational service experience takes a deep dive into the cultural, environmental and economic preservation of a small Greek island, including its sea turtle population and other endangered marine life. Throughout the three-week Maymester, you'll develop and strengthen career-ready skills, from project management and communication to problem-solving and conflict resolution - and develop friendships to last a lifetime.

Questions? Contact Stephanie Visser, director, Center for Civic Engagement, at vissers@cofc.edu. Applications are due Thursday, 11/5/26, by noon. Apply today!
