About
Join historians Jennifer L. Morgan of New York University and Marisa J. Fuentes of Rutgers University for a conversation about the sources, methods, and interpretive challenges involved in writing histories of slavery.
Morgan is the author of Laboring Women and Reckoning with Slavery, works that examine gender, reproduction, kinship, capitalism, and slavery in the early Black Atlantic. Fuentes is the author of Dispossessed Lives, an influential study of enslaved women, violence, archival power, and historical methodology in eighteenth-century Barbados.
