About

The Graduate Community Engagement Summer Scholars program provides highly motivated graduate students the opportunity to immerse themselves in community-based projects.

Scholars receive a stipend of $5,000 to spend 10 weeks in full-time pursuit of research or a creative project.

Learn more about the program and proposal requirements on the Graduate Summer Scholars page, and attend an information session hosted by the Community Engagement Initiative on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m.

Graduate students from any discipline are encouraged to apply for the program between Nov. 30 and Jan. 17, 2027. Decisions will be announced by the end of January.

Registration is required.
