About
The purpose of this event is to introduce participants to the art of Tataki Zome, a traditional and eco-friendly Japanese flower-pounding technique that uses natural pigments from flowers and leaves to create botanical prints on canvas. Through this hands-on activity, attendees will explore the beauty of nature-based art while learning about the cultural significance and creative process behind Hapa Zome. This event aims to encourage mindfulness, self-expression, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world by allowing participants to slow down, engage their senses, and transform plants into unique works of art. By combining creativity with interaction with nature, the activity promotes relaxation, stress relief, and emotional well-being while fostering a meaningful connection between art, plants, and personal reflection.
