About
FIT offers students the opportunity to study Spanish language for transfer credit at the University of Santiago de Compostela alongside students from around the world, at a campus in the city center that is 5 minutes from the old town. Students are placed at the appropriate level based on an assessment examination.
The program consists of 3 (or 6 or 8) weeks of three classroom hours of Spanish Language Monday-Friday (9:15am-2pm, including a break), with an additional hour-long seminar on Spanish culture for intermediate and advanced students or language workshops for beginners. In the afternoons, optional cultural activities and tutorials are organized.
There are always weekend day trip options for students to choose from at an additional cost (usually 50-60€ for the day). Typically you choose these in advance before you pay your bill to USC. Some previous trips have included: Rías Baixas, Finisterre y Muxía, Ría de Arosa, La Coruña y Rías Altas, and Lugo y Camino de Santiago.
