About
Conversations about pancreatic cancer often center on its biology, treatment, and prognosis. But these clinical dimensions tell only part of the story. Illness is also lived in everyday moments in changing routines, relationships, uncertainty, and the support people find or need along the way. What might we understand about health and care when we make space for these experiences?
Join us for a fireside conversation with a pancreatic cancer survivor as we reflect on the experience of living with illness beyond its clinical dimensions. Through an open conversation and audience participation, we will explore how illness shapes a person’s sense of self and relationships, how family and community influence the experience of care, and what these perspectives can teach us about the people behind the health challenges that science and medicine seek to address.
All are welcome. No medical or scientific background is required.
