About
Join CIPLIT and the Academic Engagement Network for AI and Radicalization.
An interdisciplinary expert panel of Mia Bloom (International Security Fellow at New America; Professor at Georgia State University) and Kevin Chen (MPP candidate at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs) will examine how AI can exacerbate radicalization, extremism, polarization, antisemitism and other forms of hate.
Panelists will address a range of AI pitfalls, including training data bias, content moderation gaps, generative content abuse, algorithmic amplification, alignment failures and chatbot manipulation. They will also propose solutions, from policy recommendations and improved detection tools to cross-sector partnerships and greater public awareness and media coverage.
This event will be held in person (Lewis 803) and online (register for the link) on November 12, 2026, from 12-1:15 pm.
Lunch provided for in-person attendees.
This event has been approved for 1 hour IL CLE.
