About
Help Us Fill the Tree for a Cause!
Join CCESL in supporting KARE's 2026 Festival of Trees, a beloved annual fundraising gala benefiting children and families in our community.
This year, we're creating a stunning Purple & Gold WCU-themed tree, and we need your help to make it shine! We invite faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members to contribute a purple or gold ornament, gift card, themed item, or monetary donation to help fill the tree for the auction.
The completed tree will be auctioned during KARE's Festival of Trees Gala on November 19, 2026, at Lake Junaluska, with all proceeds supporting KARE, Inc. Children's Advocacy Center and its mission to provide hope, healing, and advocacy for children impacted by abuse and neglect.
How You Can Help
Donate a purple or gold (or both) and WCU themed ornaments and/or tree decorations (can be purchased, homemade, thrifted, upcycled, 3D printed, wooden carved/burned, vintage, molded, clay/ceramic, crochet, embroidered or other various craft options, etc.) BE CREATIVE! Contribute a gift card or small item to enhance the tree's value, these can be hung as ornaments! Share this opportunity with colleagues, friends, classmates and community partners
THE PURPLE AND GOLD WCU TREE WILL BE AUCTIONED FOR $1889.00 AT KARE’S ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF TREES ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH IN LAKE JUNALUSKA. All proceeds benefit KARE, INC - Children's Advocacy Center in Haywood County!
