About
Join the Office of Sustainability every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for our weekly Campus Tree Planting Volunteer Days! Get outside, meet fellow members of the campus community, and help us grow a healthier, greener, and more resilient campus, one tree at a time.
Trees are an important part of creating a more sustainable campus. They provide shade and help cool outdoor spaces, improve air quality and soil health, capture and store carbon, provide habitat and food for local wildlife, support biodiversity, and contribute to a more welcoming campus environment. By volunteering, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on the CSUDH campus while gaining hands-on experience with tree planting and environmental stewardship.
No previous experience is necessary. Whether you volunteer for one Wednesday or join us throughout the semester, every tree planted contributes to the long-term health of our campus ecosystem.
Every Wednesday starting October 14th (except on October 28, November 11, November 25, and December 23) throughout the semester.⏰ 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Check-in outside Campus Urban Farm, for exact location: See right next to building 80 Physical Plant on CSUDH Campus Map.
Come get your hands in the soil, spend some time outdoors, and help us leave a greener campus for future generations!
