Join the team of Dairy Extension Professionals from UMaine, UNH, and UVM for live monthly webinars on the last Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m about innovative technology in the dairy sector, Extension and industry research, and programs happening in the tri-state region. In November, we will be joined by Liz Rosson from Monil U.S.to learn about Monil's virtual fencing technology.
Monil is an agricultural technology company helping livestock producers simplify grazing management, improve animal husbandry, and make better use of their time and land.Their solar-powered GPS collars for cattle and sheep use virtual fencing technology, allowing farmers to create and move grazing boundaries right from a phone rather than relying entirely on traditional physical fences. Liz Rosson from Monil's U.S. team will give an introduction to virtual fencing and what it could mean for Northeast farms. We'll look at how the technology works, how farmers are using it to simplify grazing management, reduce time spent moving fences, and open up new grazing opportunities.
