Keynote: Andreea Dragoi, '26 MBA – Corporate Strategist at Acquisition Network and Former Division I Swim Team Captain. Originally from Bucharest, Romania, Andreea Dragoi moved to the United States at 18 to pursue her academic and athletic ambitions. A former NCAA Division I swimmer and team captain, finance professional, entrepreneur, and internationally recognized model, her journey reflects the power of resilience, adaptability, and embracing opportunity. At San José State University, Andreea earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Communications, followed by an accelerated STEM-designated MBA in Finance from the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business, achieving a 4.0 GPA during her graduate studies. Now based in New York City, she works in mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and transaction advisory, with experience spanning private equity, capital raising, and business development. Her multidisciplinary career also includes go-to-market strategy, marketing leadership, brand development, and sports media. Beyond finance, she has built an international personal brand across fashion, athletics, and digital media, securing brand partnerships and earning recognition across multiple media publications. Selected for a prestigious national student-athlete leadership program, Andreea credits her athletic foundation, curiosity, and willingness to embrace opportunities beyond her comfort zone for shaping her career. Returning to SJSU, she is passionate about empowering student athletes to recognize their transferable strengths, build meaningful professional relationships, and pursue ambitious careers beyond graduation.
Panelist: Kristopher Stiles, '24 Business – Auditor and Financial Analyst at Adobe, Former Collegiate and Professional Golfer. Kris Stiles grew up in Lancaster, California. He graduated from San José State in 2024 with a business degree. He was the first in his family to earn a college degree, and he did it while playing as a four-year starter and serving two years as captain of the men's golf team. Golf taught him early that pressure is a privilege. Every shot is yours to own, and no one hits it for you. He's carried that mindset into everything since. Today he's an Internal Auditor at Adobe, where he helps manage financial risk for one of the most influential software companies in the world. His work spans FP&A, SOX control testing, and operational audits that help drive Adobe's revenue. "I don't just review processes, I find ways to make the team around me better. As a former collegiate captain and professional golfer, I'm always bringing that athletic leadership into the office to help us make a big impact on the biggest stages. I'm proof that where you start doesn't decide where you finish. I'm building toward executive leadership, and I'm here to show the next first-gen student that the path is real, and that it's theirs to take."
