About
Join the School of Art & Design at the Birke Art Gallery for Made By Real Humans, a bi-annual exhibition celebrating standout pieces by students who have recently conquered the Marshall University SOAD’s rigorous Foundations program and review process.
Composed of a series of classes designed to give students a solid background in the visual arts, the Foundation Program’s goal is to prepare students for whatever artistic path they choose to pursue. Instructors help guide beginning students toward an understanding of the language used to see, discuss, and create art.
Curated by SOAD faculty, this exhibition displays the dedication, craft, and foundational techniques that turn beginning artists into confident creatives and problem solvers.
Event Details On View: Nov. 16 - Dec. 4 Reception & Awards: Wednesday, Nov. 18, 5 - 7 p.m. Where: Birke Art Gallery, Visual Arts Center (927 Third Ave., downtown Huntington) Admission: Free and open to the public, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 4p.m.
