About

About the event

Join us for a morning of harvesting and caring for our year-round veggie beds. We provide the gloves, tools, and training, so you can jump right in. All ages and skill levels are welcome. No experience necessary!

What will volunteers do?

Pick fresh, seasonal produce and pack it for our distribution partners. Help give the farm some extra love through planting, composting, and other hands-on projects. Tasks may also include light maintenance like painting.

What will volunteers need to bring or wear?

Firstfruits Farm SLO is a working farm and we'll be playing in the dirt.

• Closed-toe shoes are required. We recommend volunteers wear long pants and dress in layers for the weather. Consider wearing sunscreen and bug spray.

• We encourage volunteers to take breaks and stay hydrated. Snacks and drinks will be available, but please bring your reusable water bottle.
