About

The Karate and Martial Arts Club meet in the Small GX Studio on Tuesday/Thursday from 6-7:15! We have black belts from all kinds of styles teaching you about martial arts. We work on self-defense, self-discipline, style basics, and real-world applications of the techniques we learn. The club is completely beginner-friendly, always open to new members, and eager to introduce you to the world of martial arts!

Tuesdays are primarily kata-focused, application-focused, and tournament-focused. Thursday are judo and ground fighting. The only requirement for joining is signing a injury waiver, as karate and martial arts necessarily involve risk of injury.

For any questions and clarifications, please contact Riley Rutherford, Club President, at xqn886@mocs.utc.edu.
