Slime & Stress Relief is a hands-on floor program designed to help residents unwind, express their creativity, and connect with their peers during the busy fall semester. Residents will have the opportunity to make their own slime using glue, slime activator, and other ingredients, as well as create homemade stress balls using balloons and flour. The program will provide a fun, low-pressure environment for residents to socialize with their neighbors while exploring creative ways to take breaks and manage everyday stress. Residents will be able to take their creations with them after the event.
Learning Outcomes:
• Residents will identify at least one practical strategy for managing everyday stress.
• Residents will participate in a creative activity that encourages relaxation and self-expression.
• Residents will have an opportunity to build connections with other residents through a shared activity.
Campus Partner: Student Health & Counseling Services (SHCS), if informational materials are available.
Supplies and Budget:
The program will require school glue, slime activator, baking soda, balloons, flour, and other basic craft supplies. Existing Housing supplies will be used when available to minimize expenses.
The total estimated cost is $34.48, or approximately $0.96 per resident based on 36 expected participants. This cost will be covered by the remaining annual programming budget.
