About
As part of our campus Veterans Week observance, students are invited to participate in a Student Ruck March Experience alongside military-affiliated students and veterans. This event offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about military culture, physical endurance, and the camaraderie that defines service life.
A “ruck march” is a military tradition involving walking with a weighted backpack (optional for this walk but encouraged), symbolizing the physical and mental challenges faced by service members. During this event, participants will walk a designated campus route while engaging in conversation with student veterans who will share personal stories, insights, and reflections from their time in service.
The goal is to foster understanding, build community, and provide a meaningful way for civilian students to connect with the lived experiences of their peers in uniform. Whether you're carrying a pack or walking in support, this event is about solidarity, education, and honoring those who serve.
