About
Learning from the Ancestors: Collaborative Anthropology with Indigenous Nations Meg Hardie, PhD Candidate, Department of Anthropology
A lecture on Bioarchaeology, repatriation, academic activism, and collaborative research. For ten years, Meg Hardie has focused her expertise in the human skeleton, from identifying fragments of bone to telling the life history of a person through their remains. In this presentation, she will share how this skill set has allowed her to become a resource for Indigenous Nations seeking the return of their Ancestors, learning from them along the journey home.
Thursday, November 12 at 6:00 PM in the Canyon Theater at the Main Boulder Public Library (1000 Canyon Blvd, Boulder, CO). This event is part of the Boulder Public Library District Presents (BPLD Present) series and is open to the entire Boulder Community so feel free to bring your family or share this communication with anyone who may be interested in this talk! No prior registration is required.
The public talk is part of a collaborative initiative between AGSA and the Boulder Public Library, and is meant to contribute towards Anthropology's mission of community engagement, community collaboration and public dissemination. Additionally, it has been shaped by AGSA's mission of promoting professional development for graduate students as we highlight our work for a broader audience; as a result, it has been funded in part by the Vice Chancellor for Student Life.
This is an opportunity where we can come together as an Anthropology community and engage with the Boulder community at large and share the groundbreaking and cutting-edge research, we are doing at CU! We hope to see all our Anthropology community at this event!
