About
Join CA Feven and the Women and Gender Equity Center (WGEC) on November 9th, 2026 at 6 PM- 7 PM at the Tukwut Classroom for the floor program 'Cupcakes & Consent". Residents will be given unfrosted cupcakes, and they'll decorate their cupcakes while learning the core elements of consent and clear boundaries in relationships, and safe sex practices. Residents will connect with CSUSM campus resources like the Women and Gender Equity Center and Student Health & Counseling Services to pick up educational materials and safer-sex supplies before enjoying their sweet treat.
Learning outcomes:
• Identify at least two core components of consent and effective boundary communication in personal relationships. • Recognize at least two safe-sex practices or healthy relationship strategies to support individual and community wellness. • Learn about at least two CSUSM support resources, including the Women and Gender Equity Center, and how to access their services. Materials:
Plain cupcakes, frosting decorating supplies, sprinkles, plates, napkins, disposable gloves
Conclusion:
This program empowers residents to navigate interpersonal relationships with respect, active communication, and awareness. By understanding enthusiastic consent, practicing open communication, and utilizing key campus resources in an engaging setting, residents enhance their overall social capabilities necessary to cultivate a safe and inclusive community.
