Title: Quantum Algorithms: Deutsch, Deutsch-Jozsa, and Simon
Abstract: Quantum computers can perform certain computations a lot more efficiently than classical computers. In this talk, after introducing some preliminary tools from Liner Algebra over complex numbers, we will give an introduction to quantum algorithms and describe three basic, but very interesting, examples: Deutsch, Deutsch-Jozsa, and Simon Algorithms. If time allows, a brief (and superficial) description Shor's Algorithm, likely the most important current quantum algorithm, will be given.
