About
This interactive workshop gives participants the chance to apply humor and storytelling techniques directly to their own scientific projects. In a small, supportive, and collaborative environment, scientists and communicators will learn how to punch up their presentations, clarify complex ideas, and experiment with humor as a tool for connection and impact. The session is designed to be both practical and energizing, with group exercises that spark creativity and help participants leave with communication strategies they can use immediately. The workshop is particularly useful for: students and postdocs preparing for dissertation defenses, job interviews, and presentations; faculty and researchers aiming to engage funders, collaborators, or the public; Science communicators seeking new tools to make research relatable; and other STEM-affiliates who want to strengthen their confidence in communication.
