About
Pittsburgh Polish Film Festival is hosting its annual film festival from November 6-8, 2026. This is co-sponsored and supported by the European Studies Center, A Jean Monnet Center of Excellence.
About the film: Through the Wall (2026, Polish, 120 min). In November 1947, Wieslawa Pajdak was arrested for her activities in the anti-communist underground and sent to prison on Rakowiecka Street. A few days later, Jerzy Smiechowski was placed in the next cell. One night, they begin talking through the wall via Morse code.
