About

Join us for a movie screening on Friday, November 6, from 6- 8 p.m. in McKenzie 214!

We will be watching "Dreams of Sparrows" - a film that was only briefly available and only on DVD. It is a documentary made by a group of Iraqi friends and film students frustrated by the portrayal of Iraq in international media. Set in the first half of 2004, it offers a ground-level look at the experiences and perspectives of ordinary Iraqis in a period during which security conditions in Iraq significantly deteriorated. We have heard a lot about the American soldiers' experiences in Iraq. But if you've ever wondered what the Iraq War looked like to Iraqis, this is the film to see.
