About
"Building an Audience and Building Community," a Works and Process event celebrating the legacy of Paul Vasterling at Nashville Ballet. It begins with a public lecture, "Building Community with the Arts: Plato's Laws and Contemporary Ballet," from 5:30–6:45 p.m. Then, from 7:00–8:30 p.m., Paul Vasterling joins poet Caroline Randall Williams and former Nashville Ballet dancer Kayla Rowser Tazik for a conversation about how a ballet company builds its audience and its community — and about the legacy he leaves at Nashville Ballet. The conversation will be moderated by Marina Harss (Dance Writer, Hudson Review, NYT, and NYRB). It will be followed by a demonstration of the creative process, featuring dancers from Nashville Ballet and Vanderbilt Ballet Theater.
