About
Psychology studies the structures of the mind. Such structures shape how we perceive, conceive of, and reason about the world around us. Whether our philosophical beliefs are shaped by such mental structures is a topic that has only recently begun to receive due attention. In this talk, Dr. Gibson explores how psychology can help us understand our philosophical intuitions, focusing in particular on how psychological evidence sheds light on peoples' beliefs regarding the compatibility of free will and determinism.
