About
Purdue Cricket League — Indoor (PCLI) is a student-run indoor cricket tournament where Purdue students are split into teams of 10 and play 12-over matches per side using indoor-safe taped tennis balls (no leather balls). Designed to help students bond, stay active, and stay connected to a favorite sport from back home, the event welcomes all skill levels and encourages mixed-gender teams. We provide stumps, cones, and scorekeeping with two volunteer umpires per game; the club provides bats and optional protective gear (no metal spikes). Purdue students only (PUID required). Planned schedule: October 24th - December 12th at the Turf Recreation Exercise Center at different time slots, with round-robin group play into knockouts and a short awards closing. Safety measures include a first-aid kit at the score table, an AED location posted, and a clear emergency procedure in coordination with facility staff; spectators remain behind a marked safety buffer. Team captains register rosters in advance; free agents may be placed on composite teams. No alcohol, tobacco, or vaping; water only on courts/turf; venue rules apply.
