Mastering Up!
Topic: Delegation & Scope of Practice
Who can do what? What can an RN delegate to an LPN? Where does the CPT fit in? And how might all of this show up on a nursing-style exam?
Join us for Mastering Up!, a faculty-led supplemental learning session focused on delegation, scope of practice, and understanding the roles and responsibilities of different members of the healthcare team.
We’ll talk through the RN, LPN, CPT, and other members of the healthcare team, practice thinking through delegation scenarios, and highlight the “need to knows” for both NCLEX-style questions and real-world nursing practice. We’ll also spend some time looking at how to approach questions where multiple answers seem like they could be appropriate—but only one falls within the person’s scope of practice.
All nursing students are welcome! While the content will be anchored in NUR 4200: Nurse as Leader, the concepts are important for students at every level and will continue to come up throughout the nursing program and into practice.
Come ready to think, ask questions, and master the stuff that can sometimes feel a little confusing!
