Artist Talk with Cali M. Banks

About

Cali M. Banks’ solo exhibition, “The Words Stuck In Your Throat Have Grown Teeth,” merges ancestral, indigenous regalia and motifs with contemporary silhouettes and touches on intergeneration transmission of knowledge and the adaptability of tradition through alternative photographic processes. This work blends photography and craft, where images become objects and memory becomes material.

This will be your final chance to see this exhibition and meet the artist in-person. Banks will be available for a short Q&A after her talk concludes.
