About
Teaching is challenging work, especially when you are learning as you go. Join other teaching assistants for practical, interactive sessions focused on the questions and challenges that come with teaching. Explore research-based practices, work through real teaching situations, exchange ideas with other TAs, and leave with strategies you can use in your own teaching.
Seven 2-hour sessions across the 2026–2027 academic year. Each session stands on its own, so attend the sessions that meet your needs—or join us throughout the year as you continue building your teaching practice and connecting with other TAs.
November Topic: What do you do when students do not participate, instructions do not land, a discussion falls flat, or a class takes an unexpected turn? Bring the situations you are encountering and explore practical ways to communicate clearly, engage students, navigate classroom challenges, and make good decisions in the moment.
