About
Join the KU Department of English for an evening of poetry with Kristin Emanuel and KU English faculty member Meagen Youngdahl.
Kristin Emanuel holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Kansas, where she studied speculative ecopoetics and the comics poetry movement. Her scholarly work focuses on image-text literature, specifically visual poetry. She has researched painting-poems, calligrams, concrete poetry, and comics, examining modalities and literacies that often elude canonicity. Her published writing has appeared in journals such as Shenandoah, Boston Review, and Colorado Review, among others.
