About
Join us in GL 220 for a presentation by Shelly Justement, an archivist for the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
In her role as a project archivist for the Community Collections Grant (CCG), Shelly Justement manages born-digital, community-generated ethnographic archival assets across all stages of their information lifecycle. Ms. Justement will discuss the archival process for acquiring, arranging, preserving, and presenting community-generated collections. She will discuss major archival trends and best practices that will help ensure future archivists appropriately handle and describe collections in their care. Her talk will also feature practical tips and tools for anyone archiving a digital collection to use.
This workshop is organized in partnership with Public Humanities Lab and Humanities Edge.
