Networking Night

The Women in Law Member Networking Night is an interactive event designed to help members get to know one another while developing practical networking and communication skills. Since Women in Law members are all pursuing similar paths toward law school and careers in the legal field, this event gives members an opportunity to build connections that could be beneficial both during college and in the future. The main activity is a speed-pitch style networking exercise. Members are paired with one another for short conversations and given a set amount of time to introduce themselves, discuss their interests, and share their goals. After each round, members will switch partners and meet someone new. The goal is to make networking feel more comfortable and approachable while giving members the opportunity to practice talking about themselves. The event will also encourage members to form genuine relationships with other Women in Law members rather than only interacting with the people they already know.
