Join the Women in Engineering (WIE) Program at UMD, which supports and empowers women pursuing engineering. WIE offers resources, workshops, and opportunities to help ALL students thrive in STEM.

In this guided session, you'll learn how to safely operate woodworking machines and craft your own custom cutting board. You will shape, sand, and finish it to take home!

NOTES:

• Please arrive on time, as the first 30 minutes cover essential machine training.

• Please have your TerpLink confirmation ready to show when you arrive for check-in!

Completion time varies based on your design’s shape and complexity. If you don’t finish your cutting board during the two-hour workshop, you are welcome to return to the lab to finish, during our open hours Monday-Friday (view our site for hours).
