About
50-minute Workshop
Presenters: Teresa Quezada, Assistant Professor of Practice, English Department/RWS Program
Students are frequently silent when instructors ask if they have questions. Depending on the material the instructor has presented, the students may believe they do not yet know enough to ask meaningful questions and may remain silent or ask surface level questions.
Question Storming asks them to think about questions in a collaborative environment and then present those questions to the instructor. This practice enhances collaboration, critical thinking and introduces students to inquiry-based learning.
