What is Public Impact Research and What Does Community Engagement Have to Do With It?
Tues., Nov. 10 · CASE Building, Room E351 · Noon-1:30 p.m
Dr. Tanya Ennis, director of research impact and engagement for the Research and Innovation Office and the Institutes (RIO), will share the pathways to achieving public impact research at CU Boulder and will bridge how projects that adopt community-engaged research serve the public good and strengthen communities. Illustrating these approaches in practice, Dr. Tania Hogan, executive director of the BUENO Center, will share insights from BUENO’s 50 years of working alongside multilingual communities, educators, schools, districts, students and families. The session will explore the relationship between community-engaged scholarship and public impact research and invite participants to consider what these approaches might look like in their own work.
