About
The Sigma Chi Sweetheart Week at Missouri State University is a three-day competition designed to bring sororities, fraternity members, and their supporters together through friendly competition, creativity, philanthropy, and Sigma Chi involvement.
Throughout the three days, candidates representing their respective sororities will compete to earn points in several categories, including participation, chapter support, creativity, knowledge of Sigma Chi, and their appreciation for the fraternity. The competition is designed to be fun and engaging while also encouraging relationships between Sigma Chi and the Missouri State Greek community.
Day 2: Sweetheart Bake Sale & Cupcake Challenge Candidates will participate in a bake sale to raise money for philanthropy. Each candidate will be responsible for selling baked goods, with points awarded to the candidate who sells the most. Candidates will also decorate their own cupcakes, which will be judged by chapter members based on creativity and presentation. All bake-sale proceeds will go toward philanthropy.
Overall Purpose The goal of Sweetheart Week is to select a Sweetheart who demonstrates enthusiasm, involvement, creativity, support for Sigma Chi, and a genuine connection to the fraternity. Rather than making the competition solely about popularity, the point system rewards candidates for their participation, effort, chapter support, and contributions to philanthropy.
Ultimately, Sweetheart Week is meant to strengthen relationships between Sigma Chi and the Missouri State Greek community while creating an enjoyable tradition for everyone involved.
