About

Cultivating Community is a garden volunteer event hosted by Edible Campus Program that occurs every Sunday from 12pm - 2PM at gardens and farms in the IV and UCSB community. No garden experience needed to volunteer with us! :D

Details: Date: Sunday, 11/8/2026

Time: 12pm - 2pm Location: Storke Family Student Housing Community Garden ((link below) or "UCSB FSH Storke Community Gardens" on Google Maps (link below)

Please bring water. Wear closed toed shoes, and a gardening appropriate outfit (get ready to get a little dirty). If you have volunteer sign off sheets such as for required community service, bring those as well.What happens if it rains? We will generally make the call as to whether we postpone or cancel volunteer days 24 hrs prior to the volunteer day since weather can be fickle this time of year. Please look over for an email on Friday as to whether the event will be impacted by rain.Please note that this event is open to the whole community regardless if you are a UCSB student or not. We are also an open and inclusive community and welcome people of all gender identities and sexualities.
