About

Join the Texas State Pre-Optometry Organization (POPs) for an informative guest speaker event featuring an admissions representative from the University of Houston College of Optometry! Attendees will gain valuable insight into the optometry school admissions process, including prerequisite requirements, application timelines, competitive applicant qualifications, and tips for strengthening their applications. The event will also include an interactive Q&A session, giving students the opportunity to ask questions and receive advice directly from an admissions representative. This event is open to all students interested in pursuing a career in optometry.

Hybrid Event – Attend In Person or Virtually!

Attendees have the option to join us in person at Academic Services Building South (ASBS), Room 205, or virtually via Zoom. Both options allow students to participate in the presentation and Q&A session.
