About
Is AI a threat to human health and happiness, or can it be harnessed to improve human wellbeing? How can we maximize its benefits while minimizing its risks?
Join us to hear a range of perspectives on how AI may affect human wellbeing. Alessandra Bazzano is a professor who studies the relationship between AI and public health. Tyler Cowen is an economist and professor at George Mason University. Ben Levinstein is a philosopher and member of technical staff at Anthropic. The conversation will be moderated by UNC journalism professor Deb Aikat.
The event is co-sponsored by The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost.
Students who attend in person can earn CLE credit. No tickets necessary; seating is first-come, first-served. Reserved tickets are available for guests coming from outside Chapel Hill; email publicdiscourse@unc.edu to reserve seats. Join us for pizza in the lobby afterward!
