About

100 Men in Suits is the Black Student Union’s inaugural legacy and philanthropy initiative at Florida State University. On Thursday, November 12, 2026, Black men from across campus and the Divine Nine, professional, and service organizations will gather on the Union steps in full business attire for a group photo, then move to the Alumni Center for a seminar on the issues facing collegiate Black men. Invited guest speakers include Mr. FAMU and student body presidents from other universities.

The event launches a fundraising campaign running November 1 through January 31 through a BSU Spark Page overseen by the BSU advisor. All proceeds are divided equally among five Tallahassee youth organizations: Distinguished Young Gentlemen, Alpha Educational & Leadership Foundation, Kappa League, Omega Lamplighters, and Sigma Beta Club. Checks will be presented at an official ceremony during Black History Month. The initiative also includes volunteer days with the beneficiary organizations and a mentorship program pairing BSU members with Leon County high school juniors and seniors, supported by college-readiness packets. --- Event Details: (link below)
