About
Zentangle is a method of abstract drawing that uses structured, repetitive patterns called "tangles" to create detailed artwork in a calm and meditative way. Join Dr. Sarah J. Colwell for a Zentangle Meditative Art hour. This meditative practice is great for those who have difficulty with traditional meditation, as drawing provides grounding, movement, and a way to express things non-verbally. Zentangle Meditation is a tool you can use to help reduce stress, increase your focus, and connect to your creative side. In this drop-in group we focus on the process rather than the final product. Each drop-in space will start with a short demonstration, followed by drawing time, ending with a brief reflection on the experience. Come to one group or come to them all. Please come prepared with:
• a piece of paper (the size of a post-it is ideal)
• a pen that easily rolls (felt markers or ball point pens work)
• a pencil
• colored pencils/pens/markers (optional)
