About
The Modern Indian Studies Initiative will host a screening and discussion of Magalae (“Unspoken Echoes”), a Tamil language film produced in the United States:
A father who cannot speak and the daughter he adores are at the center of a courtroom drama that unfolds across time. As the story moves back and forth, the film pieces together what happened, what was left unsaid, and what love is willing to sacrifice. A non-linear courtroom thriller and an intimate family drama, it asks whether forgiveness still has a place in a world that would rather have revenge.
The screening will be followed by a discussion, led by Prof. Meenu Tewari, director of MIS, with the director, known as Citizen KK.
