About
Due to the recent news coming out of Cornell, BridgeUSA at NYU will be hosting an open discussion about sexual violence on college campuses. We will discuss how colleges and universities can prevent and respond to sexual violence, the role of Title IX and campus disciplinary systems, the relationship between university investigations and local law enforcement, and the importance of institutional accountability and due process. We will also consider the roles students, administrators, Greek organizations, and policymakers can play in fostering safer campus communities.
Content Warning: This discussion will address sexual violence and may include references to mental health issues, illicit substances, and other forms of violence or abuse. We recognize that these topics may be distressing for some students and encourage everyone to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for them.
