About
Join Book Club for a thoughtful discussion of Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, a powerful exploration of aging, illness, end-of-life care, and what it means to live well when medicine can no longer focus solely on cure. You are more than welcome to read the whole book in preparation for this event, but we will also provide you with a list of important chapters that will aid you during the discussion.
For this special book club discussion, we’ll be joined by a penal of physicians and bioethicists who will share their perspectives and experiences caring for patients and families facing serious illness.
Whether you found the book inspiring, challenging, or thought-provoking, we invite you to come ready to share your reflections, hear from our guest physicians, and enjoy some food as we discuss some of the most important, yet difficult, questions in medicine and life.
