About
Join BESTARORG Robotics for CropSCOUT Assembly on October 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the SIM Building on ASU’s Polytechnic campus! Help build CropSCOUT, a student-built autonomous robot designed for precision spraying and crop monitoring to help farmers reduce unnecessary pesticide use.
During this hands-on session, students will work together to assemble the undercarriage and tracked drive system, install the sprayer module—including the pump, tubing, and nozzles—and connect wiring and electronic components. Participants interested in software will help write and test code for robot movement, spraying, and sensor integration. Teams will also troubleshoot issues and test how the mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems work together.
Whether you are interested in mechanical design, electronics, coding, or simply exploring robotics, this event offers an opportunity to contribute to a real engineering project. Gain practical skills, apply classroom knowledge, and connect with fellow ASU students while developing technology for more sustainable agriculture. Bring a laptop for coding and software activities! --- Event Details: (link below)
