Beyond the Classroom is an exhibition celebrating the creativity and artistic experiences of Yale students studying abroad. Featuring artwork created during Yale Summer Session Programs Abroad in Florence, alongside selections from the 2025 and 2026 Study Abroad Photo Contests, the exhibition highlights how international experiences inspire new perspectives, creative expression, and connections across cultures.

Poster design by Sanjana Ranade, Yale School of Management, MBA '28.

Organized by Maria De Los Angeles, Yale Summer Session faculty and MFA '15, with support from Erica Vincenzi, Painting/Printmaking MFA '28.

VISITING Yale School of Art’s Fall 2026 receptions are open to the public. During all other gallery hours, exhibitions at 32 Edgewood Gallery are only open to the Yale community (current ID holders) and their invited, accompanied guests.

Open to the Yale community & guests: Monday-Friday, 12-6PM (SoA swipe access 12-4PM and monitored open hours 4-6PM).
